For an emergency (small) shovel it has a nice depth so it works well for shoveling large scoops of freshly fallen snow. It should be noted though that the shovel blade is plastic & does not appear it can take much wear & tear if you're having to shovel snow once it's melted & refroze. -- Good emergency shovel

I bought this shovel in 2007. It's 2010, and I still have this shovel. I should say that I don't use it regularly, but it's been there when I needed it. Great for having in the car. -- Works great
